Bookmo is booking software for spas and salons in the Philippines, and a marketplace where people find and book them. This page explains what Bookmo keeps about you, why, who can see it, how long we keep it, and your rights over it.
Who is responsible
Bookmo is responsible for the personal information described on this page (under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, Bookmo is its personal information controller).
For any privacy question or request, email support@bookmo.ph. This address also reaches our data protection officer.
What we keep
Your account. When you continue with Google or Facebook, we receive your name and email address. From Google we also receive your profile photo and an ID for your Google account. We never see your Google or Facebook password. We also note whether your account is a personal account or a business account.
Your bookings. For each appointment: the business and branch, the service, the staff member, the date and time, its status (for example confirmed or cancelled), and whether you booked it online or the business booked it for you.
Records a business keeps about its clients. When you book a business on Bookmo, the business gets a client record for you with your name and email address. A business can also add clients itself, including walk-ins who don't have a Bookmo account, with a name and, if given, an email address, phone number and notes. Staff can write notes about a client's visits. The business writes and manages these records.
If you run or work at a business. The business's details (name, description, links to its website and social pages, branches with their addresses, phone numbers and opening hours, services and prices); each staff member's role, branches, job title and short bio; and staff invitations, with the email address invited, the role and who sent it. Bookmo also keeps its own notes from reviewing a business before it goes live.
Sign-in cookies. When you sign in, Bookmo sets two cookies that keep you signed in to that app. One lasts 2 hours and the other 14 days, and both are removed when you log out. They are used only to keep you signed in. Bookmo doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies. The sign-in pages load Google's and Facebook's sign-in buttons, which are covered by Google's and Facebook's own privacy policies.
Why we use it
- To sign you in.
- To make, show, reschedule and cancel your bookings.
- To let the business you book, and its staff, see and manage your appointments.
- To review new businesses before people can find and book them.
- To let a business invite people to join its staff.
We use your information to give you the booking service you ask for when you sign in and book.
Businesses use their client records and notes to run their own business, such as knowing who is coming and keeping a record of the services they provide.
We don't sell your information, show you ads, send you marketing, or make automated decisions about you.
Who can see it
- The business you book and its staff see your client record, your bookings with that business and the notes its staff write. Other businesses don't see them.
- Anyone can see a business's public page once Bookmo has reviewed it: its details, branches, services and prices, and the names and job titles of the staff people can book.
- Google and Facebook confirm who you are when you sign in. We don't send them your bookings.
- Bookmo's team can see what is stored, to run Bookmo, answer your requests and review businesses.
We don't share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account until you ask us to delete it.
Deleting your account deletes the account itself, but your bookings stay with each business you booked, together with its client record for you, because they are the business's record of a paid service. They are no longer linked to your account.
A business's client records and the notes its staff write are the business's own records: to have one removed, ask the business, or tell us which business and we'll pass your request on. The data-deletion page explains what is deleted and what is kept.
Sign-in cookies last at most 14 days, and are removed when you log out.
Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), you have the right to:

- get a copy of the information we keep about you;
- have it corrected if it's wrong or out of date;
